Steel (original version)
X376 was one of Max Steel's villains introduced on Season 2 and also Steel's clone (considered his cure). He is an Omaga class Ultralink tasked with uploading a reboot virus to Steel. X376 debuted in Reprogrammed.
After Steel's desiccation on Earth, Makino got enough information to create a clone of Steel who would be compatible with Max's Turbo interface, located on his chest.Turbo Cycle. He goes to Max's direction and manages to link with him, thus uploading the virus. After he completed his mission, he was tossed in the sewers by Max and he was later shown to be alive, despite being defective and weak. He stated that he had uploaded the virus just like Mega-Elementor planned.
X376 most likely perished on the sewers considering that he was heavily damaged.
X376 has a striking resemblance with Steel. He has red and silver on his armor and a spiky look to it.
He is very loyal to Makino just like other evil Ultralinks, and could serve him even if his mission cause his death, which could be seen with the phrase "I live to serve you, lord Makino!".
- Reprogramming Virus: X376 had a reconfiguration virus that when uploaded in Max's linking port would be able to reiniciate Steel and make him act like an evil Ultralink. However, X376's efforts were in vain when Max and Steel only switched bodies, since they had a very strong connection which corrupted the virus.
- Linking Abilities: Like other beings of his kind, X376 is able to link with objects or living beings to create a mutant or monster.
- Unlike Steel, when he linked with Max his arms and head were visible rather than being a logo similar to the letter M.
- Even though that no background information of X376 was given, it is assumed that he is Steel's clone, considering that he has similar characteristics to him (like his body structure). Besides, he posesses a similar indentification code to Steel: while he is referred as X376, Steel is referred as "N'Baro Aksteel X377", which increases the chances of him being a clone.
