The episodes starts with an Bone Link wreaking havoc on the streets of Copper Canyon. Max and Steel approach the creature while the latter remarks that Forge was right about his people being made to destroy things. He links with Max and they clash with the Ultralink, who is quickly taken down by the duo. A Makino Deployer launches two more evil Ultralinks who bond with a gun and a N-Tek Tank. They corner Max and Steel, who activate their Turbo Strength Mode and quickly defeat them. A Makino Fighter attacks them and they activate Turbo Flight Mode in response. Max grabs one of them and uses it to destroy other two Fighters. The Makino Destroyer activates a lash and throws Max to the ground. They activate Turbo Cannon Mode and then clone it by using Turbo Clone Mode, creating a small army that destroys the ship by inside. They activate Turbo Flight to escape from the ship, but are thrown on the ground by a part of the ship. After the vehicle is fully destroyed, Max and Steel commemorate their victory and it is revealed that it was actually a holographic simulation made by Berto. He approaches them and points out that they had won on the easiest setting, although Max doesn't minds. Forge appears and states that the challenges ahead wouldn't be the same as before and that they should be ready for anything. Meanwhile, a mysterious bounty hunter invades Earth while searching for Steel.

Back at N-Tek, Forge advises Max to take things seriously while trying to control his hand, which accidentally hits his face. Berto says sorry to him and states that he was still adapting to the cyber arm. Steel makes a joke about the simulator, angering Forge who tells them about Makino's intentions of absorbing Earth, although they don't seem to care. Ferrus rests his hand on Max's shoulder and tells him that he has great powers but he needs to uncover his greatest power, otherwise they wouldn't stand a chance. Steel asks them if Makino would really attack, as they had taken down Dread and they haven't heard anything about them in months. They head to a room where Berto shows N-Tek's new battle fleet of automated striker drones, stating that they would act like the shield that formerly protected Earth. He and Ferrus are worried at the fact that Makino hasn't attacked again.

Later on, Max and Steel are on school discussing about what Forge meant by their greatest power and how Jim and Steel fought against Makino's forces in the past. Their discussion is interrupted by Kirby, who appears wearing tinfoil clothes. Upon being questioned by Max about why he was using it, he states that it would help deflect tractor beams from the aliens. Sydney approaches them and tells Kirby that it took Max Steel to take them down and sarcastically asks him if a layer of tinfoil would save him from the aliens. He deduces that he should get another layer and runs away. Max and Sydney walk on the hallway discussing about the intelligent alien form on the cosmos. She is reminded of a meteor shower happening on the night and asks Max if he would like to go with her, of which he agrees.

Later on the night, the alien hunter locates Steel and lands his ship on the mountains while Max parks his car. Him and Sydney are watching the stars when they hear a noise nearby. They are about to get in the car when it is revealed that it was Kirby, who reveals that he had climbed the side of the dam to get to them. He reveals that his parents were out and he called Molly to meet with Max. He suddenly shouts that the aliens had found him, though Sydney comforts him telling him that it was simply a meteor shower. Meanwhile, Miles Dread and Jason Naught approach the meteors, which were actually four Ultralink spheres.
