Turbo Spike Mode is Maxwell McGrath and Steel's eleventh Turbo Mode. This mode is a ninja-like that has turbofied spikes on the two long black whips. It first appeared in Definitely Fear the Reaper.
In Dawn of Morphos, Turbo Cannon Mode and Turbo Spike Mode were combined into one to form Turbo Cannon Spike Mode via Max and Steel's Duo Strike ability.

Season 2[]
Definitely Fear the Reaper[]
After analyzing the Takonian Rock, Steel created Turbo Spike Mode. Max activated it in order to fight against the Purple Reaper Link, though he was having trouble due to its intangibility, impossibiliting him from hitting the creature.
Max activates it again during his last fight against the Reaper Links after realizing that they had to turn solid to get the rock. He uses this strategy by continuously throwing them the rocks, forcing them to turn solid and then attacking. He ultimately shoots spikes from his armor, causing the Ultralinks to short out. He later on freeds Kirby and Sydney and proceeds to get the rock, which explodes and reveals a spike from Jim's Turbo Spike Mode, of which Max keeps to himself as a reminder of his father's hero days.
The Great Turbo Star Caper[]
While dealing with Miles Dread, Max activates Turbo Spike Mode and extends the spikes on his armor to damage him. He attacks Jason Naught with his whip, but Dread tackles on him and absorbs his energy, causing him to go back to his Turbo Base Mode.
The Final Countdown Part One[]
While fighting against Makino's forces, Max activates Turbo Spike Mode and uses its whip to destroy a pair of Makino Deployers.
The Final Countdown Part Two[]
Max activates Turbo Spike Mode to quickly dodge Makino's projectiles.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength: Max is stronger than an average individual.
- Whips: Max gains a retractable T.U.R.B.O-charged whip on each arm of which he can use to grab or attack something. It possesses a Turbofied spike on its tips and can be used to travel quickly from one place to another via swinging. Max can also charge the spikes on the whip to make them more powerful.
- Enhanced Abilities: Max's reflexes and agility are increased considerably, with Max being able to quickly swing through enemies with his whips.
- Turbofied Spikes: Max obtains T.U.R.B.O-charged spikes on his armor that can be augmented or work as projectiles. [1]
Weaknesses[]
- Decreased Durability: Max's defense is decreased greatly, making him more vulnerable to damage in this form.

Trivia[]
- As revealed in Definitely Fear the Reaper, Jim used to have Turbo Spike Mode and used it during the battle of Takion to face Makino's Ultralinks.
- It's dark color scheme is similar to Turbo Stealth Mode.
