Turbo Lightning Storm Mode (formerly known as Turbo Thunderstorm Mode) is Tempestra's second Turbo Storm Mode. It debuted in Team Turbo.

History

Team Turbo

After Rayne convinced Max to activate the Connect-Tek device, different armors were created in order to fight against The Elementors, including Turbo Thunderstorm Mode. Rayne was easily knocked down by Air and Water Elementor and later activated her Thunderclap Whip that electrocuted them. Later on, when Air was about to finish off Max, Rayne desperately tried to win the battle and launched a lightning spear that went through Air (since his body isn't solid) and hit C.Y.T.R.O., causing him to launch the missiles that he was about to launch, hitting her and knocking down the robot.

Later on, when Extroyer, The Elementors and Toxzon teamed-up to take down Max's Team Turbo, Rayne's suit was energized with Max's T.U.R.B.O. Energy and she activated Turbo Thunderstorm Mode. While La Fiera was in charge of defeating Extroyer, Max with Toxzon, C.Y.T.R.O. and Tempestra were in charge of defeating The Elementors, which later fused themselves to create Firestorm Elementor and later Mega Elementor. Rayne and C.Y.T.R.O. combined their powers and launched a powerful attack that made Elementor dizzy, and later Team Turbo combined their powers once more to defeat the villain.

Afterwards, Rayne and the rest of the team went to Professor Mortum's hideout were she uses her powers to disable the shield generator.

Turbo-Warriors

After Team Terror shows up, Tempestra goes Turbo Lightning Storm to fight against Snare, but she is eventually taken down by the robot's cannons and as result goes back to her base mode.

Abilities

When Max powers up Tempestra’s Connect-Tek base suit she goes Turbo Lightning Storm! Armed with electric lightning spears, she hurls shocking attacks at her foes. And when she cracks her Thunderclap Whip, the percussive force can blow even the heaviest battle tanks out of her way. Hurricane force winds obey her fingertips and can levitate her, as she blows a storm of fury at Team Turbo’s enemies!

Trivia

• The mode's suit share few similarities with Electrix's outfit from the classic series due to the fact that it is black and has white lines.
• It is referred as "Turbo Thunderstorm Mode" on the Official Website and in Team Turbo, although in Team Turbo Fusion-Tek and onwards, it is referred as "Turbo Lightning Storm Mode".
• When Tempestra transforms into this mode, she spins like a tornado in the beginning and end of the transformation.
• It is the least used mode of Tempestra's arsenal. It was also completely absent from Turbo-Charged, where she only used her Turbo Ice Storm Mode.
