“ You are a stain on the fabric of my life! A stain that I shall now remove!
—Toxzon, Cleaning House
Toxzon, formerly known as Tytus Octavius Xander, is a recurring antagonist in Max Steel. Tytus was a mentally unstable scientist who worked at THI as a bio-enginner developing a unique strain of bacteria that would consume various toxins and render them inert. After he was fired due to his reckless behavior, Tytus attempted to have revenge against the company, which led to a battle against Max Steel and his mutation. Renaming himself as Toxzon, he gained the ability of absorbing and controlling toxins to empower himself. He counted with the help of his partner Fishy, a fish-shaped pen drive that he believed to be alive and sentient. Toxzon was voiced by Andrew Francis, and debuted in Cleaning House.
History[]
Early Life[]
At some point during his life, Tytus worked at N-Tek. However, he was fired due to his unstable behavior. He then began to work at THI. According to himself, the "previous regime" of the company did not recognize his efforts.
Season 1[]
Cleaning House[]
Tytus is in his laboratory commenting with Fishy that the CEO of THI, Molly McGrath, wanted to see him. He believed that he was finally going to get the recognition that he so "richly deserved". At Molly's office, she comments that his work was intriguing, but reckless, ill-advised and dangerous, which angers Tytus. She shows a recording of one of Octavius' experiments going wrong, although he tries to downplay the situation. Molly further comments that the company workers told her that he talked to a plastic goldfish. He is fired and forcibly taken away from her office while he tells them that he would be back.
Using a secret passage, Tytus returns to his laboratory wearing a protective armor along with Fishy and recalls how his co-workers called him "mad" while having a fit of rage. Fishy reassures him that they were the ones who were mad and that their work were never dangerous. Tytus reveals his plans of cleaning the world, with Fishy suggesting him to start with THI. He replies that he liked the idea and begins to plot his evil schemes. Tytus releases a toxic, mutating gas on the THI building, causing the people inside to turn into zombie-like creatures.
Tytus is later confronted by Max Steel. The hero invades his lab and tells him that he had poisoned everyone on the building. Octavius takes a fishbowl with Fishy in it and replies "excellent" while having a smile on his face. Max Steel demands the antidote, but he refuses to give it to them. He accidentally steps on the helmet of his protective armor, causing him to drop the fishbowl. Fishy falls on toxic waste, angering Tytus. He launches several explosive tube-shaped projectiles at Max Steel and suits up to get Fishy back. He is about to dive into the toxic waste when he accidentally slips and falls in it before having his helmet on, causing his body to mutate grotesquely.
Tytus emerges from the toxic waste, claiming that Max and Steel had hurt Fishy. He launches several toxic projectiles at Max Steel and blames them for his transformation, stating that he had become filthy and toxic. Max ignores it and refers to him as "Toxzon". The hero attempts to combat the villain using Turbo Base Mode, but fails due to his power. He is eventually defeated by Max's Turbo Strength Mode. While Max and Steel use the antidote the cure the zombies, Toxzon recovers Fishy and escapes. He goes to the sewers, where he comments with his comrade that people hadn't heard the last of Toxzon.
C.Y.T.R.O. Attacks![]
Toxzon sends out his Goopanoids minions to invade N-Tek and obtain the Tox-Bomb and C.Y.T.R.O.'s remote control. After doing so, C.Y.T.R.O. heads to Toxzon's secret hideout. Unknown to the villain, the robot was being followed by Max, Steel, Berto in the Turbo Cycle. He activates the Tox-Bomb's detonation and claims that the toxins inside the bomb would make him even stronger. He asks Fishy what he should do with Berto and Max, of which he replies that they should watch as he becomes even more powerful. Berto manages to get back the control of C.Y.T.R.O. and uses it to get the Tox-Bomb and deactivate it. Realizing that he was outnumbered, Toxzon creates various Goopanoids to fight against the N-Tek team.
Toxzon reobtains the Tox-Bom thanks to the Goopanoids, but Max steals it using Turbo Flight Mode. The villain shoots multiple gooey projectiles at Max, causing him to get stuck at the wall. Toxzon approaches him and tells him that he was glad that C.Y.T.R.O. didn't kill him, as he would have the opportunity to do it now. He gets the Tox-Bomb and reactivates it. Berto sends out the Turbo Blaster to Max, who shoots Toxzon. He drops the Tox-Bomb, which is quickly deactivated by Berto.
Toxzon is then arrested and sent to the Copper Canyon Prison.

Toxzon in his blimp.
Toxzon reappears with a blimp that he built, trying to infect Copper Canyon with dangerous pollutants, until Max and Steel comes. Eventually, the blimp is taken down by Max Steel, but Morphos manages to stop the blimp, later gaining a fame between Copper Canyon citizens, who referred him as a hero. Morphos manages to absorb Toxzon's powers and he is the first to be arrested to the prison.
Eventually, after Copper Canyon was entirely mutated into mutants similar to Morphos, Toxzon, alongside with other villains, were freed from the prison and later team-up with Max Steel in order to stop Morphos once for all. Toxzon fought against some of Morphos' henchmen and managed to defeat some of them. When Toxzon tried to stop Morphos, he used his own powers against Toxzon, declaring that he knew his intentions of wiping out the humanity.
After Morphos was defeated with Max's Turbo Exo Strength Mode, Toxzon escapes with other villains and his whereabouts were unknown.

Mortum making a deal with the villains
Two years since the events of Maximum Morphos, Toxzon is recruited by Professor Mortum to find the powerful Connect-Tek. At first, Toxzon was curious about how Mortum managed to find N-Tek's secret bases and was skeptical about Mortum's plans, but he later on decides to work with him.
When the Elementors were fighting over each other because of the Connect-Tek, Toxzon suddenly appeared and released a toxic gas that knocked them down and he stole the Connect-Tek and N-Tek's technology and ultimately escaped shortly after Max woke up.
Upon seeing Tempestra and La Fiera unconscious, Max decided that it would be best to fight against Toxzon and his minions on his own. After fighting against few Goopanoids, Max comes across Toxzon, who is quickly defeated by him.
Later on, Toxzon teams-up with the Elementors and Extroyer and he fights against Max Steel, who was using his brand new Turbo Prime Mode. Toxzon launches various corrosive Goopanoids on Max, yet he manages to dodge most of them. Eventually, Max launches a T.U.R.B.O. Energy wave on Toxzon's direction, which he tries to avoid, but it ultimately hits him and damages his armor, thus defeating him.
Turbo-Warriors[]
Toxzon's helmet and hoses were seen being stored at Team Turbo's vault.

Appearance[]
Tytus Octavius Xander was a skinny and tall man. He had short brown hair, brown eyes and a red and black device attached to his right eye. He wore a black and red coat, black pants and black shoes.
Tytus occasionally wore a close-fitting black and grey armor with red accents. After his mutation, the armor was permanently infused to him, causing his size and body mass to increase as a result of being exposed to toxic waste. This also caused the red accents of the armor to change to green. Toxzon has a hunched back posture, having his neck and head extending forward, and a large upper torso and arms. He has green eyes, a pair of hoses connected from his cheeks to his shoulders and a "crest" that goes from his head to his back. He has large grey shoulder pads, green-colored sections at his upper arm, forearm and thighs, and a pair of large gauntlets attached to his forearms. Another pair of hoses is seen on his mid torso and he has four small barrels attached to his back.
Toxzon's hoses and barrels alter its colors depending on which toxin he uses.
- Light Blue: Neutralized
- Green: Standard Main Mode
- Lavender: Hypnosis Serum
- Purple: Toxic Bacteria
- Orange: Acid/Orange Toxin
- Lime Green/Yellow Green: Radioactive.
- Black: Oil
Additionally, according to Max and Steel, Toxzon smells awful.
Personality[]
- Toxzon: "I gave them my genius, and this is how they repay me!? Unconscionable! They haven't heard the last of Tytus Octavius Xander. They haven't heard the last... of Toxzon!"
- Fishy: "No, They haven't."
Before his mutation, Tytus was an mad genius described by his co-workers as "increasingly unstable" and noted for his obsession for talking with his plastic goldfish named Fishy, whom he used to carry around in a fishbowl. He was obsessed over cleaning and constantly talked to himself. He conduced dangerous experiments on THI, one of which nearly an intern killed, although he tried to downplay the situation, showing no remorse for his actions or regards towards her life. After he was fired from THI, Tytus became vengeful, resented and planned to clean the world. Tytus was also extremely obsessed with Fishy, a fish-shaped pen drive that he believed to be alive.
After mutating into Toxzon, he gets extremely angry at Max and Steel for hurting Fishy and goes insane. He initially doesn't accepts his mutation, believing himself to have become "dirty, filthy, toxic". Toxzon's plans revolve around revenge and extinguishing humanity, with most of his means being related to pollution. He considers himself superior to others due to his intellect as demonstrated in Pick Your Poison. In this occasion, Toxzon showcases a manipulative and tactician side, as he manipulated N-Tek into providing things he wanted in exchange for his help to neutralize Ultimate Elementor. In reality, he planned to control the Ultralink and take down the organization. Notably, Toxzon is extremely vengeful and holds a grudge against those who opposed him in the past, such as Molly McGrath and Max Steel.
Toxzon was dependent on his partner-in-crime Fishy to make some of his decisions and often asked his opinion on the matter at hand. He deeply cared for Fishy and attempted to save him in any way he could if he was put in danger as exemplified in Cleaning House. In Toxic Relationship, Toxzon loses Fishy thanks to the Ultralinks, and as a result he develops a deep hatred for them and blames them (and Max Steel as well) for ruining his partner. His mental health rapidly decays as seen in A Germ of an Idea, as he became completely numb and would constantly mutter Fishy's name. However, he is later on brought back to his senses by Max and Steel and goes back to his villainous schemes.
