Trivia[]
- The title of the episode could be a reference to Europe's The Final Countdown.
- The episode was originally titled as Turbo Nova Part Two and Into the Darkness Part Two during development.
- This episode marks the last appearance of Butch.
- The extended synopsis[1] of the episode reveals several scrapped ideas, such as:
- Max uses the Turbo Star to destroy what was left of the Alphalink and Makino's armada, rather than him, Jim and Steel combining their powers to destroy the warlord.
- After the destruction of the Alphalink, Max gets unconscious and falls to the Earth. Jim's voice echoes on his head, telling him to wake up. It is unknown if Jim was supposed to be alive in this ending, contrary to the finished episode where he is revealed to be the power source of the Alphalink.
- The villains do not escape from N-Tek's prison.
References[]
- ↑ It's up to Max Steel to save the planet. He must battle Makino head to head to buy time for Molly and Forge to put the finishing touches on the Turbo Star. Then, Max must make the HERO'S CHOICE. There's a very strong possibility that using the TURBO STAR will destroy Max and Steel! Just like it did Max's father! Max must chose. His own life versus the lives of the entire planet. It's a no brainer. He straps on the Turbo Star and goes to work. In an epic climax, he literally unleashes massive amounts of Turbo Energy focused through the Turbo Star which is like a massive EMP weapon. It utterly decimates and destroys the Alphalink and what's left of the armada. Huge chunks of debris rain down. And, Max Steel is nowhere to be seen. He paid the ultimate price. Or did he. We find the unconscious Max Steel falling to earth. And, there's a whisper. A whisper of a voice. It's Max's father! Jim McGrath. Closer than you think. Wake up, Max. Wake up! And, Max wakes up in time to go Turbo Flight and save himself and Steel from certain death. The day is saved! The planet is saved! All the villains are locked up. Makino has been destroyed (or so we think). A true victory moment!
