Trivia[]
- During development, the episode's plot was significantly different, with Miles Dread being the main antagonist. He would create a fake Max Steel to turn the public against him, and the real Max and Forge would work together to shut it down.
- The episode's concept is similar to that of Me, Myself, and Extroyer from the second season.
- Makino, who would appear on the Earth Under Siege special, is mentioned by Steel at the end of the episode with the phrase "Oh, Makino have mercy".
- When Syd was about to collide with Extroyer, she avoids him by climbing up a ramp with her bike and the following scene makes a reference to Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
- The signal that Sydney created to draw Extroyer's attention is a nod to the Batsignal.
- The idea of the mosquito being preserved at am ambar stone is a reference to Jurassic Park.
- The Truck Driver makes a cameo while Extroyer chases Kirby and Sydney.
- The Vendor makes a cameo.
