T.U.R.B.O. Energy, which stands for Tachyon Unlimited Radiant Bio-Optimized Energy, is the most powerful yet most dangerous energy known on Earth. The energy came from planet Takion and is a blue energy that enhances the physical capabilities of the user.
Origins[]
The T.U.R.B.O. Energy comes from planet Takion. On Earth, N-Tek used to make experiments with the energy.
Abilities and Uses[]
T.U.R.B.O. energy makes the user stronger, faster, more durable and agile than an average individual. Maxwell, a Takonian-human hybrid, has his physical capabilities increased, yet he has trouble in controlling his energy due to his human half. It often interferes with electronic devices, causing them to malfunction. In order to prevent him from going critical and exploding, Steel needs to link and constantly regulate his energy.
The energy was used to weaponize weapons and presumably other alien devices as seen on The Legend of Ja'em Mk'rah. At Earth, Berto built weapons and vehicles that could adapt with Max's T.U.R.B.O. energy, such as the Turbo Sword, Turbo Blaster, Turbo Car and others. N-Tek also used it for some of their experiments, such as the Turbo Star.
The energy is also used by Team Turbo to activate their powers. Their Connect-Tek armors are capable of storing and harnessing T.U.R.B.O. energy in battles. The color of their energy also varies; Alex's energy is red, Rayne is purple and C.Y.T.R.O. is green.
Green T.U.R.B.O. Energy[]
During the events of Turbo-Charged, Max reaches his limits by generating large quantities of T.U.R.B.O. Energy thanks to Terrorax, who tortured him to gain a portion of his energy and create his own version named Terror Energy, which serves as the opposite of Max's new green energy.
The new version of his T.U.R.B.O. Energy is considerably more powerful than its predecessor at the point of Steel not being capable of controlling it, nor even the Connect-Tek suits of Alex, Rayne and C.Y.T.R.O.. Steel later on develops the Steel-Tek, a technology that can adapt to Max's energy and harness them in battles. It is also often referred as "Green T.U.R.B.O.".
Additionally, the new Green T.U.R.B.O. doesn't damages electronic devices contrary to Max's blue T.U.R.B.O. (and also to Terrorax's Terror Energy, capable of destroying technology at molecular levels) and instead Max used it twice to reactivate the technology on Copper Canyon. It is also stronger than Terror Energy, as initially been destroyed at the molecular level, until Steel developed the Steel-Tek to become more resistant, while more responsive to Green T.U.R.B.O.
Known Users[]
- Maxwell McGrath - Even though that he is not from planet Takion, Max can generate the T.U.R.B.O. Energy, since he is a Tachyon-human hybrid.
- Jim McGrath
- Takion Soldiers
- C.Y.T.R.O. (through Connect-Tek armor)
- Rayne Martinez (through Connect-Tek armor)
- Alejandro Villar (through Connect-Tek armor)
Trivia[]
- Miles Dread is able to convert the T.U.R.B.O. Energy into a red-colored Negative T.U.R.B.O. Energy.
- This energy was used to weaponize things on planet Takion, as seen in The Legend of Ja'em Mk'rah.
- It is occasionally referred as "Turbo Power".
- It is shown in liquid form in The Great Turbo Star Caper.
- As seen in Tbe Wrath of Makino, two T.U.R.B.O-charged Takonians cause minor energy bursts when in contact with each other.
- T.U.R.B.O. energy has a tendency to explode after being used in technological apparels, as seen in New World Disorder, when Dread had powered his Dread Naughts with T.U.R.B.O. energy and after being destroyed their parts started to explode.
