The Rock Links (unofficial name) are a group of minor villains introduced in the second season of Max Steel. They are Stinger Ultralinks who have bonded to pieces of asphalt or concrete. They are one of the strongest Ultraink monsters due to the large hammer-like extensions they possess. They debuted in The Ultralink Hunter.

History[]

Season 2[]

The Ultralink Hunter[]

While Max Steel and Ven-Ghan were trying to escape from a Makino Destroyer, a group of Ultralink monsters cornered them and began to attack. The Rock Link was easily defeated by Steel after he unleashed Turbo Mimic Mode.

Makino Strikes Part One[]

An army of Rock Links, Bone Links, Lizard Links, Gun Links and Dread Naughts attack N-Tek's mountain base.

My Best Friend is an Ultralink[]

Using his Ultralink locator, Steel finds a group of Ultralinks that were trying to escape the city, with one being a Rock Link and two being Gun Links. They are contained inside of a stasis field by Ven-Ghan and ultimately unlinked from their hosts.

Torbolt The Terrible[]

A purple Stinger Ultralink bonds with asphalt, creating a Rock Link. Alongside Torbolt, Blast Link and a Bone Link, he corners Steel and attempts to destroy him. Before he could, the Bone Link attacks him and says he would be the one to do it. The two engage in combat, allowing Steel to escape.

The Rock Link later observes Torbolt's attempt in "destroying" Steel. Instead, he asks for Steel's help, causing Mega-Elementor to have a fit of rage. He sends out the Rock Link, Bone Link and Blast after Steel and Torbolt. They corner him in an alleyway, though they manage to trap them and escape.

The Final Countdown Part One[]

An army of Rock Links, Gun Links, Bone Links and an Avatak attack Copper Canyon. They are met with resistance from N-Tek and Max Steel.

The Final Countdown Part Two[]

Ven-Ghan fights against various Rock Links and other Ultralink monsters at Copper Canyon. Sydney, while driving a N-Tek R.O.C.C. helps him to defeat some of monsters.

Abilities[]

  • Superhuman Strength: They are considerably stronger than any other avarage human or Ultralink monsters.
  • Superhuman Durability: Their bodies are extremely durable against Max Steel's attacks. They can also use their hammers to create a durable shield to protect themselves.
  • Hammers: Rock Links possesses large hammers for hands that can deal large amounts of damage to their enemies. Due to how heavy they are, Rock Links walk slowly.
  • Unlimited Stamina: They can take large amounts of damage and return harmless to battle and are capable of fighting for long periods.

Weaknesses[]

  • Limited Speed: While Rock Links are extremely powerful and tough, they are relatively slow due to the heavy hammer they have for hands.
  • Energy Core: Their weak point are their Ultralink core located on their forehead. If hit with enough strength, they will faint.
  • Vulnerability to Ultralink Hunters' Weapons: Being an Ultralink bond, Rock Links are susceptible to Ven-Ghan's gear, which can unlink the Ultralink from their hosts with ease.

Appearance[]

Rock Links feature a similar body type to other Ultralink monsters, having a skinny yet muscular appearance. They have three spherical eyes on each side of their face, a yellow Stinger Ultralink energy core located on the the forehead region and spiky teeth, with the lower canines being notably larger and spikier than the rest. Their bodies are made out of dark grey concrete/asphalt, with various cracks and irregular shapes and protrusions on the shoulders, forearms and hips. They possess large hammers for hands and have three spiky toes.

Personality[]

Like other Evil Ultralinks, Rock Links are willing to do anything for Makino's glory and have an endless thirst for destruction, which they quench by destroying everything on their way.

Trivia[]

  • Alongside Chomp Link, Rock Links are the only Stinger Ultralinks seen bonded to something.
  • In the game Ultralinks Attack, Rock Links are not Stinger Ultralinks linking with rocks, but instead a yellow Ultralink from an unknown subspecies.
