—Prism Link to Steel, Ultralink Invasion Part One
Prism Link, referred frequently only as Prism, is a recurring villain introduced in the second season of Max Steel. He is a Makino Elite Ultralink who bonded with crystals. Alongside Blast and Chomp Link, he was a member of a small Ultralink squadron led by Metal Elementor, assisting him in his mission of conquering Earth for Makino's glory. After the death of Makino at the hands of Max Steel, Prism and other Ultralinks became stranded on Earth. He participated on the competition to determine who would heir Makino's power, but lost.
Prism Link debuted in Ultralink Invasion Part One and is voiced by Lee Tockar.
History[]
Season 2[]
Ultralink Invasion Part One[]
Alongside other three Ultralinks, Prism was sent by Makino to Miles Dread during a meteor shower. The latter provided hosts for them. The Makino Elite Ultralink bonded to crystals, creating Prism Link. Miles sent the trio to downtown Copper Canyon, as a part of his plan.
Prism and Chomp versus C.Y.T.R.O..
Once Max Steel appears, Prism and the others fight against him. Prism shoots crystals at him and attempts to stab him with his bladed arms, but instead causes part of a building to fall on him. He gets up and goes back to fighting, but Max activates Turbo Clone Mode and clones Turbo Speed Mode, managing to knockdown both Prism and Chomp Link after multiple, continuous blows. They later recover and are faced by C.Y.T.R.O., who uses its wrecking ball to temporarily defeat them.
N-Tek's forces later arrive. Miles sends out the fourth Ultralink to bond with something, but it fails. Dread and the Ultralinks are forced to retreat, although he claims his plan had successfully worked before leaving.
Ultralink Invasion Part Two[]
Blast Link, Chomp Link and Prism Link are deployed to fight N-Tek.
After the capture of the fourth Ultralink, N-Tek manages to track down mountain lair and attacks it. He sends out an army of Dread Naughts and the Ultralink trio to fight against them. After Dread's plan fails, Prism, Chomp Blast, Miles and Jason retreat.
Dredd Ascendant[]
While N-Tek's mainframe system is being updated and its mountain base is vulnerable, Ultimate Elementor attacks the place with a massive Ultralink army.
Elementor, in his air form, creates a hurricane around Max Steel and shocks him, while Prism Link shoots crystals shards at him. Jefferson and Kat, in their N-Tek Jump Jets, intervene and shoot missiles at the Ultralinks, defeating them. Thanks to Miles Dread's intervention later on, Prism and the remaining Ultralinks escaped via Makino Deployers.
Full Metal Racket[]
After Ultimate Elementor's failure, Makino sends one of his generals to command the Ultralink troop. After finding a suitable host, Metal Elementor presents himself to the Ultralinks and reveals his intentions of turning them into a powerful army.
Chomp and Prism team-up.
The Ultralinks locate a web video in which Maxwell McGrath stated that Max Steel would be making an appearance at the Battle of the Bands at Copper Canyon. Under Metal Elementor's command, the Ultralinks attack the city while the festival is happening, forcing Maxwell to take action. The Ultralink trio attempt to use a new strategy to defeat Max Steel, but they are defeated nonetheless.
Animal Attraction[]
At the Copper Canyon mountains, Prism, Chomp and Blast are running away from Max Steel and N-Tek's forces. They are rescued by a Makino Deployer nearby.

Later, N-Tek and Max Steel head to the mountains after picking Ultralink activity there. They are confronted by Prism, Blast and Chomp. Prism uses his arms to slice through N-Tek's tanks, but he is temporarily knocked down by Max Steel. He quickly recovers and retreats alongside with his comrades, being later rescued by a Makino Deployer.
Deep Turbo Blue Sea[]
Metal Elementor and the Ultralinks invade N-Tek's undersea base.
Metal Elementor recovers intel from a damaged N-Tek jet that the organization was developing a Takion missile capable of destroying Makino in their undersea South Pacific base. Led by Metallak, the Ultralinks head to said location. Max, by himself and stuck in his Turbo Scuba Mode, is sent to the base to assist Commander Parker and the soldiers to deal with the invaders. After they retreat inside the base, Metal commands the Ultralink trio to spread and find information about the missile.
The Ultralink trio later find Metal Elementor fighting against Max Steel in one of the facility's hallways. They confirm that they had not found any information regarding the Takion missile. Elementor and the Ultralinks corner Max Steel in an attempt of destroying him. However, the hero tricks Metal into flooding the hallway, causing the water to flood the section they were in.
The Ultralink Hunter[]
The Ultralink trio attempt to stop Max, Steel and Ven-Ghan.
While trying to escape from the Makino Destroyer, Max, Steel and Ven-Ghan are found by Prism, Blast and Chomp. The trio attack simultaneously, forcing the trio to hide. While Ven-Ghan covers Max and Steel, they activate Turbo Speed Mode and then the Turborang, launching Steel at Blast and Prism, defeating them.
Journey to the Center of Copper Canyon[]
As a part of Roberto's training sessions, holographic versions of Prism, Blast and Chomp attack Max's school. After being hit by a table, the Ultralink passes out.
Makino contacts Mega Metal Elementor and Miles Dread to inform them that he would arrive on Earth earlier than expected. After Dread leaves, Makino tells Elementor to keep a close watch on Miles. The general sends Prism Link to investigate, who follows him in a Makino Deployer.
Prism tries to drag Max down the pit.
Prism heads to the Copper Canyon mines. He eventually finds Max Steel, who was walking alongside Sydney Gardner and Kirby Kowalski. The Ultralink attack the group with razor sharp projectiles, but Max activates Turbo Cannon Mode and gets in front of them, protecting the two. After the two leave in a mine cart, Max deals with Prism. Using Turbo Strength Mode, he delivers a powerful punch that hurled the Ultralink into a pit. As Max appraoches the pit, Prism grabs his leg, trying to drag him. However, Prism's body is caught by a large, furry hand. Max successfully manages to free himself, watching as Prism is dragged into the darkness.
Later, Prism leaves the pit, horrified and claiming that the "Copper Squatch" was real. Before he could leave, however, the creature drags him into the pit again.
Hot Zone[]
The Ultralink trio is deployed to the island.
After locating a T.U.R.B.O. energy signal at an island, Mega Metal Elementor and a large Makino fleet attack the place. While Max deals with the Makino Fighters, Berto, through C.Y.T.R.O., fight some of the Ultralinks. He spots Prism empowering himself using sunrays and warns Max. After going Turbo Flight, Max grabs the Ultralink and uses his laser generating abilities to destroy various Makino Destroyers nearby. Finally, McGrath grabs Prism and throws him at the island, landing on Chomp Link.
The Legend of Ja'em Mk'rah[]
Prism, Blast, Chomp and two Ultralinks are teleported to a road. A truck driver, upon seeing the aliens being deployed, runs away in fear. The two Ultralinks attempt to bond with the vehicle, but are destroyed by the Turbo Car's missiles. As Max leaves the vehicle to fight the trio, Blast commands them to distract him while he tried to lock a shot at the hero. After several failed attempts, Blast shoots a virus at Max, disorienting him. With McGrath weakened, Chomp tries to reason with his comrades to destroy him right there, but Blast refuses, stating that they were ordered to implant the virus and report back. The group is rescued by a Makino Deployer.
The Ultralink trio is arrested.
Thanks to the virus, Max's T.U.R.B.O. energy begins to leak, allowing the Ultralinks to track him down. The trio find him, Steel, Ferrus and Molly at a deserted area outside Copper Canyon. They are deployed to fight them, but are met with resistance from them. After Max successfully cures Steel from the virus, they easily subdue them. The trio attempts to escape, but McGrath destroys the Makino Deployer. Prism, Chomp and Blast are then taken into custody.
Makino Strikes Part One[]
Prism is freed by Forge.
Forge, now under the control of an evil Ultralink, heads to N-Tek's mountain base's prison level. He frees Prism, Chomp and Blast. They later escape from the place after Forge activates a bomb.
Makino Strikes Part Two[]
Prism, Chomp and Blast, alongside an army of Dread Naughts and the mind controlled Forge, head to THI's headquarters. They are met with resistance by N-Tek's part, who had regrouped following the destruction of the mountain base.
Following Makino's defeat at the hands of Max Steel, Prism and the rest of the Ultralinks retreat.
My Best Friend is an Ultralink[]
Chomp, Prism and Blast hear Elementor's warning.
In the Makino Destroyer orbiting Earth, Mega Metal states that they needed to gather all the remaining Ultralinks to re-strategize. After spotting a group of lost Ultralinks, he commands the Prism, Blast and Chomp to retrieve them, warning to not fail otherwise there would be "dire" consequences.
The Ultralink trio teleport at an viaduct where Max and Ven-Ghan were fighting the Ultralinks, who had bonded to McGrath's friends. After Sydney and Kirby were unlinked, Blast commands Butch to join them, but Max manages to bring him back to his senses. After Ven-Ghan unlinks Butch, the Ultralink trio retreat.
Blast and Prism scared.
In the Makino Destroyer, Mega Metal warns them about the consequences of their failure. He grabs Chomp and hurls him into the vacuum of space, leaving Prism and Blast scared.
Definitely Fear the Reaper[]
Blast and Prism volunteer to investigate the energy source.
Prism informs Mega Metal that he had picked up a surge of Takion energy at the Copper Canyon History Museum. Curious, Metal asks if it was Max Steel, of which Prism denies, stating the signature did not match. Prism and Blast volunteer to investigate, but Mega refuses as he wanted to avoid getting N-Tek's attention.
Reprogrammed[]
Blast and Prism fight Max.
In the Makino Destroyer orbiting Earth, X376 contacts Mega Metal to inform that he had accomplished his mission of delivering the reconfiguration virus to Max Steel. Prism and Blast operate the terminals to activate the virus.
As a result of the Ultralinks' actions, Max and Steel switch bodies. McGrath, in Steel's body, forgets to hide his T.U.R.B.O. energy signature, allowing the Ultralinks to locate them. Prism and Blast accompany Mega Metal in his battle against Max Steel, but Elementor is eventually defeated. Prism and Blast retreat.

The Wrath of Makino[]
Prism is swarmed by a group of Ultralinks.
While the Ultralinks are fighting against each other to obtain Makino's central processing unit, Prism appears and attacks Blast with crystal shards. He approaches the piece, claiming that only a diamond like him could wear such "jewel". He is swarmed by a small group of Ultralinks, who told him he didn't need such power. They are then attacked by a water blast from Water Elementor.
Prism and the Ultralinks witness Makino's rebirth.
Thanks to Metal Elementor, who briefly touched the unit, a giant dome is created. Makino invites his Ultralinks to go inside and test their might. Prism enters and easily defeats many of Makino's mental projections, but he is eventually stopped by Maxwell. The competition ends after Maxwell reaches the unit, discovering that it was a trap set up by Makino so he could find a new powerful host to bond with. After Makino's return, Prism and the other competitors glorify him, but he attacks them after the Elementors annoy him.
Prism, Blast and the Elementors reunite with Makino, who watches Copper Canyon from afar while commenting how much he despised Earth. Max, who was still alive and fighting from the inside, attempts to take back his body, engaging in a mental battle with Makino. He flies away, while his Ultralinks are left confused.

- Ultralink Abilities
- Linking Abilities: Like others of his kind, Prism is capable of bonding with organic or inorganic matter and weaponize it. In his case, he bonded to crystals, mutating it into a humanoid monster made out of said material.
- Hovering: In his unbonded form, Prism could hover mid-air.
- Superhuman Strength: Prism is stronger than an average individual, being capable of penetrating the pillar of a building with relative ease using his sharp arms.
- Superhuman Durability: Prism is extremely durable, being capable of withstanding multiple blows from Max Steel and C.Y.T.R.O. and the debris of a building, later returning harmless to battle.
- Crystal Manipulation: Prism Link is capable of reshape and grow diamond matter.
- Crystal Projectiles: Prism can shoot razor sharp crystal shards from the tip of his arms in rapid succession.
- Crystal Placement: As seen in Ultralink Invasion Part Two, Prism can stick his arms into the ground and generate a row of sharp, luminous crystals to erupt from the surface.
- Solar Power/Laser Generation: As seen in Hot Zone, Prism is exceptionally strong in sunny places. His body is capable of absorbing sunrays and harnessing it to augment his abilities. He can shoot rainbow lasers from his body, which can cut through solid materials such as Makino ships, and hover in the air.
- Underwater Breathing: As seen in Deep Turbo Blue Sea, Prism is capable of surviving in underwater environments.
- Unlimited Stamina: Prism Link is extremely hard to beat, and can come back from heavy fights relatively unharmed.
Weaknesses[]
- Energy Core: Like all Ultralinks, Prism's weak point is located on his head, which is his Ultralink core. If it is hit by someone or something, Prism will instantly faint.
- Vunerabilty to the Ultralink Hunters' Weapons: Being the result of an Ultralink bond, Prism can be permanently unlinked from his host with the use of Ven-Ghan's gear.
Etymology[]
The word "prism" is a type of geometric figure featured by their angular shape. The word "Link" comes from the alien race Ultralinks.
Appearance[]
Prism Link has a thin, angular appearance made up of many triangular and oblique shapes. His entire body is made out of a bluish transparent diamond and his arms and legs ends with sharp edges. His Ultralink is located on his head, protected by an armor made out of diamonds.
Personality[]
Ruthless and destructive, Prism is highly loyal to Makino and is the calmest member of the Ultralink trio, having a cold and quiet demeanor. Like others of his kind, he deeply resents Steel for his betrayal. Despite his composure, Prism was left horrified after his encounter with the Copper Squatch in Journey to the Center of Copper Canyon. In The Wrath of Makino, it is revealed that Prism Link is a self-centered and narcissistic, as he betrayed attacked other Ultralinks during the competition, claiming that only a diamond like him could appreciate Makino's head piece, which he referred to as a "jewel".

Trivia[]
- Prism's Ultralink form was initially blue, but after he linked with the crystals, its color switched to orange. This was a common goof seen on other episodes with Ultralinks.
- Prism Link is a playable character in the in-universe video game Max Steel: Turbo Warrior.
- As exemplified in Journey to the Center of Copper Canyon, Prism is able to emit a monstrous roar, despite not having a mouth.
- Prism Link share similiarities with Chromastone from the Ben 10 series.
