“ It works! Have you ever seen such raw power?!
—Jason Naught, The Thrill of the Hunt
Extroyer's Ultralink is a nameless and damaged Ultralink who debuted in The Thrill of the Hunt. It was a yellow-colored Omega-Class Ultralink.
History[]
Early Life[]
Little is known about the past of Extroyer's Ultralink, but due to the fact it was found within an abandoned Makinian ship on Earth, it's likely that this Ultralink was part of the first invasion of Earth, and likely retreated into stasis to recover from damage sustained when the ship crash landed on Earth.
Season 1[]
The Thrill of the Hunt[]
After Steel successfully disables the shield of an alien spacecraft, N-Tek's forces invade the ship and find a chamber where a dormant Ultralink was. After recovering it, they implant bombs to destroy the spacecraft and take the Ultralink with them. However, their forces are intercepted by Troy Winter, a highly dangerous bounty hunter hired by Miles Dread to steal the device. He later finds out that it was missing a key component that prevented it from working properly. With Miles' aid, he manages to obtain the missing part from THI.
He later on shows the now functioning device to Jason Naught, who makes a remark about its immense power. Troy ultimately decides to keep the Ultralink for himself. However, when he opens the suitcase to contemplate the device, it shows an hologram of Dread, who had predicted Troy would betray him and for that he would pay the "ultimate price". The Ultralink explodes and winds up at Troy's chest, turning him into a human-Ultralink hybrid.
Scrambled[]
After Steel touches Extroyer's Ultralink, he witnesses one of its memories. At an alien world, the Ultralink fought against Ja'em and Steel alongside others of its kind.
Abilities[]
- Linking Abilities: Like others of its kind, the Ultralink could bond with someone or something and transform their host into a living wepaon.
- Shapeshifting: After it was incrusted into Troy's chest, the Ultralink gave him the ability of assimilation. Initially, Extroyer could only turn into animals, but he later upgraded the Ultralink with a DNA Microfusor in Animal Attraction, which allowed him to shapeshift into otherworldly creatures such as Ultralinks or even Max's modes.
Weaknesses[]
- The Ultralink remains exposed on Extroyer's chest, making him vulnerable to damage. In Scrambled, it was damaged even further after Steel touched it, causing Extroyer to randomly turn into the animals he had assimilated.
- DNA Overload: The Ultralink can only absorb one target at the time. In Driven, multiple DNA samples fell on Extroyer, causing the device to overload and mutate Extroyer grotesquely.
Appearance[]
Nothing is known about the Ultralink's appearance aside from its shape, which was identical to Steel. It was also yellow-colored.
Trivia[]
- After the Ultralink blew up on Troy, it is now located on his left chest.
