N-Tek figures out that Dread plans to use missiles to destroy the shields that keep Earth defended from Makino's forces, and launch an attack intent on stopping him.

Dread eventually launches the missiles, but is knocked into one of the silos by N-Tek weaponry. Max and Steel use their T.U.R.B.O Energy energy in an attempt to stop the misses, but then Dread reveals that he planned on using Max's TURBO energy all along, and the shields over Earth go down, allowing a Makino Ship to enter Earth's atmosphere.
