Dwayne is a minor recurring villain introduced in the first season of Max Steel. He is one of Extroyer/Troy Winter's henchmen alongside Vin. Dwayne is voiced by Brian Dobson and debuted in The Thrill of the Hunt.

History

Early Life

Nothing is known about Dwayne's early life, aside from the fact he once worked for Troy Winter.

Season 1

The Thrill of the Hunt

Alongside Vin and Troy, Dwayne intercept N-Tek's forces in order to obtain an Ultralink. After deploying several spike trips and bombs, the R.O.C.C.s are damaged. With the use of a sonic cannon, Troy takes out N-Tek soldiers and the agents inside the tank where the Ultralink was located. After stealing it, Dwayne, Vin and Troy head to the latter's hideout.

There, Dwayne and Vin commemorate their victory over N-Tek. Vin asks his partner what he was going to do with his cut, of which he answers he would go to Las Vegas. Troy advises them that he'd only share 20% of the payment with them, much to their shock. They angrily request a renegotiation, of which Troy seemingly agrees. He invites them to a room so they could do it, but he traps them inside said room. His pet tiger comes out of the shadows, and attempts to devour Dwayne and Vin. They manage to survive, however.

Driven

After stealing a package for Extroyer from a laboratory, Dwayne and Vin are chased by the police. They eventually manage to shake them by parking their vehicle on a pre-owned car lot. Dwayne convinces Vin to leave the package inside of the vehicle and return the next day to get it, as police was everywhere looking for them.

The next day, Vin and Dwayne return to the pre-owned car lot, only to learn that their vehicle were bought by Maxwell McGrath. After stealing one of the owner's cars, they wait for Max to show up. They spot Molly McGrath and attempt to attack her, but she fights back and easily defeats them. They escape in their car, only to be attacked by Extroyer, as a giant spider, demanding the package.

Dwayne and Vin obtain a list of students at Copper Canyon High School and park nearby the school. After spotting Sydney Gardner, they kidnap her. She calls Max, requesting him to bring Extroyer's "package". Max, in the Turbo Car, chases Dwayne and Vin throughout Copper Canyon and end up at Extroyer's hideout.

After Extroyer's defeat at the hands of Max Steel, Dwayne and Vin escape, with the former telling his comrade to stop working for the villain, calling him a "psycho".

Personality

Dwayne is a clumsy, naïve and laid-back robber. He is good friends with Vin and seems to be more level-headed and more patient than his comrade, as evidenced in Driven.

• In Thanks I Think, Dwayne stated that he is a member of a finger puppet club.
• Dwayne was originally named "Diesel", meant to be a reference to Vin Diesel, a famous American actor, producer, director and screenwriter.
• As seen in Gone Fishin', Dwayne and Vin enjoy fishing.
• Dwayne stated on Makino Strikes Part One that he has kids. Rather than telling him that he is a thief, he tells them that he is a stuntman lion tamer astronaut.
