—Jason Naught, Come Together Part Three
The Dread Naughts, also referred to as The Hounds, are a group of minor enemies introduced in the first season of Max Steel. They are a group of robots used by Miles Dread and Jason Naught as their personal army, causing mayhem and chaos for N-Tek. They debuted in Come Together Part One.
History[]
Season 1[]
Come Together Part One[]
A trio of Dread Naughts using THI spacecraft intercepted N-Tek during an Ultralink recovery mission on space. They attempt to steal the device, but were ultimately destroyed.
Come Together Part Three[]
During N-Tek's incursion in THI's headquarters, Jason Naught sent an army of Dread Naughts to deal with them.
Secret Identity Crisis[]
Jason Naught sent an army of Dread Naughts to Copper Canyon High School to fetch Butch, whom he thought was Max Steel. After activating a knock-out gas bomb in the place, Maxwell McGrath and Steel link and destroyed the robots. Butch is mistaken for a hero again and grabbed the arm of one of the robots while the students cheered.
The Thrill of the Hunt[]
During a mission to recover several Ultralink pieces, Miles sent a small army of Dread Naughts to assist Troy Winter. They are later found by Max Steel, who activated Turbo Strength Mode and easily defeated all of them.
Uncle Sam Wants You![]
Jason Naught and an army of Dread Naughts attacked downtown Copper Canyon. They are defeated by Max Steel and Colonel Jasper F. Castle's army.
After the colonel betrayed Max and N-Tek found his location, Miles sent an army of Dread Naughts to assist Earth Elementor to fight them.
Elements of Surprise Part One[]
Miles, Jason and a small group of Dread Naughts headed to a deserted location. Air Elementor appeared, blowing away the robots that accompanied the two.
Elements of Surprise Part Two[]
While escaping from Miles' mountain compound, Forge is confronted by two Dread Naughts. After making them shoot each other, he stole their blasters and left.
The Truth Hurts[]
Ultimate Elementor requested a full squadron to assist him in his mission of fetching Max Steel. After leaving Miles' compound, Ultimate Air Elementor destroyed the squadron, as he had other plans for the hero.
X Marks the Spot[]
Jason, Axel and an army of Dread Naughts headed to the Copper Canyon mountains to find the N-Tek transmitter. He is found by Max Steel, who activated Turbo Strength Mode to fight him. He sent an army of Dread Naughts to deal with him, but they were easily destroyed. Unknown to Max, however, Jason had installed bombs inside of the robots, causing them to be activated after their destruction. He sent a second wave of robots and Max activated Turbo Flight Mode, using Steel to shoot T.U.R.B.O. energy blasts at them from afar. However, Jason revealed that they now had a flight function. After Max realized that they exploded on impact, he tricked the Dread Naughts, sending them directly to Jason and causing a massive explosion.
Earth Under Siege Part One[]
Miles, Elementor and Naught headed to the Copper Canyon desert lowlands. With N-Tek approaching, Miles sent a large army of Dread Naughts to fight them.
Season 2[]
Ultralink Invasion Part Two[]
During N-Tek's incursion in Miles' mountain compound, Jason sent an army of Dread Naughts to fight them.
Dredd Ascendant[]
Miles and Jason headed to their undersea base, where Naught introduced Dread to their new and improved Dread Naughts.
Full Metal Racket[]
During Metal Elementor's attack at downtown Copper Canyon, Miles attacked Max Steel with an army of Dread Naughts. Sydney, Kirby and Max take down most of them, with Jefferson and Kat destroying the rest with their N-Tek Jump Jet's missiles.
Deep Turbo Blue Sea[]
Naught sent a pair of Dread Naughts to investigate the coordinates of a piece of the Turbo Star.
Makino Strikes Part One[]
Alongside an army of evil Ultralinks, the Dread Naughts attacked N-Tek's mountain base.
Makino Strikes Part Two[]
An army of Dread Naughts and a small Ultralink squadron invaded THI's headquarters. They are met with resistance by N-Tek's part, however.
Got Turbo Star?[]
Miles, Jason and a group of Dread Naughts headed to N-Tek's arctic base in search for the third and last piece of the Turbo Star. After Maxwell found it, Dread, Naught and his robots confronted McGrath, Forge and Steel. The Ultralink activates several C.Y.T.R.O.-like robots to help them in their fight.
The Great Turbo Star Caper[]
Max destroyed a pair of Dread Naughts that were guarding the fully completed Turbo Star.

Dawn of Morphos[]
N-Tek found Dread's location in an abandoned warehouse in Copper Canyon. Max is trapped inside of the warehouse while N-Tek dealt with an army of Dread Naughts led by Jason. After their destruction, N-Tek arrests him.
An army of Dread Naughts later invaded N-Tek's dam base thanks to a transceiver set up by Jason.
Abilities[]
- Flight: Some Dread Naughts models feature propellers on their feet, allowing them to fly in high speed.
- Energy Blasts: Dread Naughts can launch red-colored blasts from their arms. Their upgraded versions launch energy blasts from their T-shaped visor.
- Self-Destruction: A specific platoon used by Naught in X Marks the Spot featured a self-destruction function. After their destruction, their head exploded, causing a medium-sized explosion.
- Waterproof: The improved Dread Naughts are waterproof, remaining fully operational underwater. They can also swim in high speed.
- Scanners: The improved Dread Naughts feature scanners, allowing them to find hidden objects.
Arsenal[]
- Blaster Rifles: Dread Naughts commonly carry a black and red blaster rifles capable of firing in rapid succession.
- THI Shotgun: Stickout head Dread Naughts carry those shotguns in battle. There were one scene where the Dread Naughts accompaning Troy Winter to guard the front entrance at the THI building.
- THI Spacecraft: In Come Together Part Three, a trio of Dread Naughts piloted THI spacecrafts in order to obtain an Ultralink pod on space.
Weaknesses[]
- Limited Durability: Despite being durable, Dread Naughts can be destroyed with a shot of a N-Tek blaster or N-Tek grenades, as seen in Come Together Part One.
