“Mother of Mars! —Commander Forge Ferrus
Commander Forge Ferrus, also known as as Forge or Ferrus, is a recurring character introduced in the first season of Max Steel. He is Molly McGrath's brother and Maxwell McGrath's uncle.[1] An experienced N-Tek agent, he is one of the organization's co-founders alongside Jim McGrath, Miles Dread and Molly McGrath. Following Jim's disappearance, Forge became N-Tek's driving force, leading its worldwide operations. When Maxwell McGrath began to generate T.U.R.B.O. energy, Forge intervened and took him to N-Tek's headquarters so they could regulate it. This eventually led in Max being bonded with Steel, an Ultralink and Jim's former partner. Forge acted as a mentor figure for the two, but hid the truth about their pasts, which often caused conflict between them. Secretly, Forge wanted to protect the Earth from an impending alien invasion.
Thanks to Miles Dread's efforts, N-Tek's defense grid was destroyed, leading to a full-blown Ultralink invasion. Max, Steel, Forge and N-Tek worked together to stop the invaders, with Ferrus losing one of his arms thanks to an Ultralink aberration.
Nothing is known about Forge's early life prior to N-Tek's creation.
After Planet Takion’s destruction, Ja'em Mk'rah and Steel went to Earth. Alongside Molly McGrath, Miles Dread and Forge Ferrus, they founded N-Tek, an organization created with the purpose of stopping Makino and his armada of Ultralinks. Using Jim's alien technology, the group began to develop projects to stop the villain, such as Morphos, a genetically-engineered creature with shapeshifting powers, and the Turbo Star, a weapon capable of turning its wearer into a living weapon made out of T.U.R.B.O.. Due to Morphos' immense power, they vetoed the project and choose to use the Turbo Star.[2]
During the first Ultralink invasion, Ferrus and Molly commanded N-Tek's forces to face the alien parasites. However, they were quickly outnumbered. They eventually released their secret weapon: Ja'em and Steel, who used their combined might to defeat the Ultralinks.[3]
The group continued with the development of the Turbo Star. Unknown to them, Dread had developed a siphoning device to harness T.U.R.B.O. Energy for his own gain. During the test, he uses the device and causes a massive explosion, sending Jim to space, shutting down Steel and leaving him with horrifying consequences. After the incident, the group misled that Jim and Dread were killed and decided to create a hologram for the former with Steel in his dormant state as an homage to their late partner. Molly resigned from the organization and Ferrus became the commander of the organization. He later on split the Turbo Star into three pieces, and hid them into three different locations so no one would find them.[4]
When Mortum attacked N-Tek's Daedelus Platform, Forge, alongside Kat Ryan, Jefferson Smith, Jim McGrath and other soldiers, tried to stop the villain, but he was knocked down after Mortum released a powerful energy wave. He was captured by Mortum and tortured by him.
Later on, Max and Team Turbo invaded Mortum's lair, freeing all N-Tek agents, including Forge.

Trivia[]
In a video for dating sites he states that he likes long walks on the beach and reality shows.[5]
Forge is very much alike his classic counterpart, having an authoritarian attitude towards Max and having a similar physical appearance. In Earth Under Siege Part Two, he gains a robotic arm, much like his past incarnation.
Forge is the third heroic character to have an action figure released, with the first being Max Steel and the second being C.Y.T.R.O.. As of 2014, however, no action figures were made for him.
In Supermania, he mentioned that he used to read comic books as a kid.
A running gag on the first and second seasons was that Ferrus would say "What in the blazes?", "Mother of Mars!" or "Aw, crud" when something went wrong.
