Animated Films

The Animated Films are movies that take place after the events of Season 2. Minus Team Turbo Fusion-Tek, the series' fifth film, all of them have 44 minutes.

Production

After the conclusion of the second season, three animated movies were ordered by Mattel to continue the story of Max Steel. Prior to their public announcement, the voice actor Sam Vincent mentioned on his Twitter account that 44 minute specials were coming, but not a full third season. They were publicly announced on April of 2015 by Mattel, with Max Steel having three animated movies: The Wrath of Makino, Dawn of Morphos and Maximum Morphos. They first aired on Latin America via Cartoon Network, and later on Europe via CITV.

In October of 2015, Mattel's 2016 kids content slate was revealed, with Max Steel gaining two movies: Team Turbo and Team Turbo Fusion-Tek.

In the mid of October of the same year, Mattel's 2017 content slate was revealed at MIPCOM, with Max Steel gaining two new specials: Turbo-Charged and Turbo Warriors.

Trivia

• The ending theme of the 2015 films are a remixed version of the second season's opening. Team Turbo and onwards use the musical theme of the titular hero team.
• In Europe, ITV split the movies into 22 minutes long episodes.
